As the dust settles on her goodbye party, Nora must face her best friend Maude and come to terms with what it means to leave her other half behind.

Friends for most of their lives, Maude & Nora are each other’s everything. At 16 they came out to each other at the same time, they love each other fiercely, kissed men they regret, and dated women they thought they’d marry. They’ve known each other like the back of their own hand, but as Nora prepares to move overseas for a massive job – Maude has yet to tackle what it feels to be left behind in the name of cheering her other half on.

As the last of their friends leave Nora’s party, the silence is deafening between the best friends. For two women who talk about everything, the elephant in the room is now so big that it’s become inescapable.

Hurting in their own ways, for their own reasons – what will it take to make each other understand?

Cusp is a love letter to the goodbyes you never got to have, to the friendships of before – with the hindsight of now.
